Computerised Accounting

This is an introductory course which covers the fundamentals required to work in bookkeeping and accounts roles.

Specific topics include:

• System set-up to meet Goods and Services Tax (GST) requirements
• Cash and credit transactions are processed in both a service and trading environment
• General journal - balance day adjustments for prepayments and accruals
• End of financial year rollover
• General ledger accounts, customer, supplier, inventory and fixed asset records
• Chart of accounts
• Reports - financial performance, financial position, GST reporting
• Back-up procedures
