Any type of product or service - buildings, vehicles, electronics, computer software, financial services, etc - may have its implementation overseen by a project manager who must be able to envision the entire project from start to finish, and have the ability to ensure that this vision is understood and implemented.
A project manager has to determine and implement the exact needs of the client. This includes identifying and adapting to the various internal procedures of the client, and being able to communicate the key issues of cost, time, and quality in such a way that overall risk of failure is reduced.
