Event management is closely related to marketing and advertising. An event manager requires a multitude of skills to stage a successfull function which not only fits an organisation’s objectives and business culture but delivers this within a budget.
An Event Planner is the project manager for every affair and they must be dynamic and creative as well as methodical and practical. Successful Event Managers develop strong business networks in order to provide memorable experiences.
An Event Manager, in one project, may need to co-ordinate venue choices, professional speakers, catering, themes and decor, technology, staging and lighting, audiovisual equipment, photography, media exposure, safety and security, graphics and multimedia materials, traffic and parking, entertainers and equipment hire – all within budget constraints!
