The Martin College Events Program develops skills in organising and running events.
It will enable graduates of the program to move into a job in the events industry on graduation.
- Develop competency in event industry software Summit Event Management Pro.
- Achieve a broad knowledge base in key business areas such as management, budgeting, communications and marketing.
- Get 100 hours+ of practical events experience.
- Manage event projects and provide on-site event management services.

Degree transfer
Successful completion of the Martin College Diploma of Events offers the following credit transfer option:
- 1 year credit into Raffles College of Design and Commerce, Bachelor of Commerce (major in Tourism).
Industry and jobs
Event management plays an increasingly important role in the marketing and communications mix for all companies. The role of an Event Manager complements the marketing plan of an organisation as a means of advertising or building a brand. Event Managers work in consultation with public relations and marketing staff and creative and advertising teams to develop an event which showcases a special occasion or product. Event management skills are in demand in the private and public sectors, and in community organisations such as sports clubs, schools and charitable organisations. Possible job titles relevant to this qualification include: Event Coordinator and Conference Coordinator
Professional Recognition
Students of Martin College events studies, are eligible to apply for membership of the Australian Marketing Institute (AMI) – an industry association for those in the marketing professions. www.ami.org.au

Course Duration: 35 teaching weeks plus up to 3 weeks of vacation depending on commencement date.

1 Practical subjects – students may need to spend some out of class time in practical activities. Students will still be able to complete their qualification within the standard nominated duration.
2 Students taking these subjects in the Certificate III in Events will receive recognition of prior learning in the Diploma of Events.

Entry Requirements
Entry to the Diploma of Events requires ONE of the following:
- Successful completion of a Certificate III qualification in an events-related area, OR;
- Paid or voluntary employment experience at an operational, coordination or management level in an events-related field.
International students must also meet the English language entry requirements >
If you do not meet the entry requirements...
The Martin College Diploma of Events allows students to start the Certificate III in Events and move onto the Diploma of Events with no previous experience required.
