This 45 week program includes 2 courses:
- Diploma of Events (35 weeks) VET FEE-HELP and payment plan available
- Certificate III in Events (15 weeks) Payment plan available
This program gives you skills in organising and running events which enable you to move into a job in the events industry on graduation.
- Develop competency in event industry software Summit Event Management Pro.
- Achieve a broad knowledge base in key business areas such as management, budgeting, communications and marketing.
- Get 100 hours+ of practical events experience.
- Manage event projects and provide on-site event management services.
- Learn from experts with substantial events experience and a real world focus.
Degree transfer
Successful completion of the Martin College Diploma of Events offers the following credit transfer option: 1 year credit into Raffles College of Design and Commerce, Bachelor of Commerce (major in Tourism).
Industry and jobs
Running successful events draws on many different skills to stage a successful function which not only fits an organisation’s objectives and business culture, but also delivers the event within budget. Within one project an Event Manager may need to coordinate venue choices, speakers, catering, audiovisual equipment, media, security, multimedia materials, entertainers and equipment hire – all within the client’s budget. Possible job titles relevant to the Diploma of Events include: Event Coordinator and Conference Coordinator.

Graduates of the Diploma of Events program receive two nationally accredited awards: SIT50207 Diploma of Events and the SIT30607 Certificate III in Events

Entry Requirements
- Entry to the Certificate III in Events stage requires successful completion of Australian Year 11 OR overseas equivalent, OR; Vocational experience in a range of work environments in administration support roles but without a qualification.
International students must also meet the English language entry requirements >
Have some Events experience already?
You can join the 35 week Diploma of Events if you have either:
- Successfully completed of a Certificate III qualification in an events-related area; OR,
- Paid or voluntary employment experience at an operational, coordination or management level in an events-related field.
