The program is the link between academic studies and work experience and it can incorporate a full-time, unpaid learning experience in a relevant working environment after completion of a Diploma.

How does the Career Starter Program help Graduates?

  • Practical experience – Learn beyond the classroom and the theory. Understand from professionals how skills and ideas are applied in the real world.
  • New skills – Develop and improve telephone techniques, learn how to dress for a job interview, understand employer expectations, interview techniques, how to search for a job and more.
  • Contacts – Martin College works with professionals who can offer advice and information about careers in particular industries.
  • Industry knowledge – Industry professionals help students to understand a typical workday in a specific industry and the expectations employers in that industry have of graduates.

The Career Starter Program does this through non-compulsory, on-campus workshops, seminars by industry professionals and alumni and an optional internship on completion of the Martin College course.
