About Martin College

Open Day | Melbourne Campus | Saturday 2nd February. Book now.

Martin College has been helping people to launch and revitalise their careers for 35 years. Our qualifications are respected by employers – the practical and applied focus of our courses means that our graduates get good jobs. Our Diploma courses can also provide a pathway to degree study at university.

Over 35 years of experience

The college was originally founded in 1976 by Lorraine Martin, to equip students with the practical skills needed to enter the professional workforce. First established as the Lorraine Martin Receptioniste and Deportment Academy, the college quickly became a well-known and respected provider of careers education. In 1994, Lorraine Martin was awarded an Order of Australia for her service to the field of Education and Training.

Over the last three decades, our name has gotten shorter as our range of courses has expanded, but our company ethos has remained the same: to prepare our students for their future careers.  Not only do we provide nationally recognised accreditations, but we strive to ensure that when our students graduate, they will be able to enter the job market with the best possible advantage.

Courses that lead to jobs or university

We offer Certificate and Diploma level qualifications in the areas of Business, Management, Marketing, Graphic Design, Information Technology, Tourism and Events. Our teachers are industry experts who bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the classroom. Class sizes are small, and the teaching approach is friendly, supportive, and personalised.

The academic experience at Martin College is strengthened by our web-enhanced learning support platform, StudySmart. This online support system allows our students to interact with College staff and other students, to create a fully interconnected learning experience. In 2010 Martin College launched its Distance Education program – giving our students even more options and opportunities.

Preparation for your career

We also provide job-seeking advice, work experience and internships to our students through the Martin College Career Starter Program. Our Careers Counsellors are available to consult for guidance and support, and you can even apply for jobs through the e2e job portal, which is exclusive to Martin College students and alumni.

Martin College is a part of Study Group, a quality global education provider that invests in our students’ futures and strives to enhance their career prospects. We have welcomed thousands of students from all over the world, and we actively support all our students, both domestic and international, to ensure their study experience is as enjoyable as it is rewarding.
